The Parts Specialist sells parts to all available customers over the counter, through the shop or on the telephone.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts.
Answer telephone calls, providing price quotes and other information, capture customer name and phone numbers.
Order parts not in stock as approved by the Parts Manager.
Notify the customer and the Service Department when parts arrive.
Assist with organization and cleanliness of parts department.
Receive and stock incoming inventory.
Verify receipts against purchase orders.
Assist with periodic inventory vehicle counts as directed by supervisor.
Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean and appealing to customers.
Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
Any other duties as assigned.
Converse effectively/efficiently and positively regarding parts status.
Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
Provide high level service to both internal and external customers.
Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
If part is not in stock, determine availability (Including Parts Locator from another dealer or source), ETA's, and inform customer/Service of expected date of arrival/document on parts order slip update in wiADVISOR 3.

Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed properly on service repair order.
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
