Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our medical practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing processes, excellent attention to detail, and a dedication to accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Generate and submit medical claims to insurance companies Verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information Review and reconcile billing discrepancies Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit as necessary Maintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and coding guidelines Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Travel to other offices as needed (Clarkston, Bloomfield Hills, Waterford)
Qualifications:
Previous experience in medical billing Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (Athena, E-Thomas, Practice Fusion, and NextGen) Strong understanding of medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and productivity (80-100 claims daily) Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements Credentialing experienced preferred Skilled with computers
